World-class skiing at Heavenly Valley Ski Resort is within walking distance, and there are more than 20 other major ski areas within a one-hour drive of Royal Aloha’s resort.
The Tahoe Queen regularly cruises to Squaw Valley where you can spend the day skiing, then reboard for an après-ski party as you return to the South Shore. The Tahoe Queen also has a dinner and dance cruise.
Explore the High Sierra backcountry on a snowmobile or delight in an old-fashioned sleigh ride.
Royal Aloha members have been intrigued by the Auto Museum at Harrah’s in Reno and the hot-air balloons and gliders in Carson City. Authentic 1870′s mining metropolis of Virginia City, only 45 minutes away is the site of the Comstock Silver Lode.
With an abundance of casinos only four miles away, there’s 24-hour gaming fun and superstar entertainment almost at your doorstep.

Royal Aloha Tahoe is 7,500 feet above sea level. Please check with your physician if you need to take precautions.
During the coldest winter months, you may wish to telephone the resort to inquire about the weather conditions. If you are unaccustomed to driving in snow, taxis are recommended for your safety.
The nearest major airport is in Reno, approximately 58 miles away. From the airport:
- Take 395 South to Carson City and continue to Highway 50 West to the South Lake Tahoe area.
- Turn left onto Highway 207, Kingsbury Grade.
- Proceed approximately 3.8 miles.
- Turn right onto Tramway Drive.
- Follow Tramway Drive to the top of the hill where it will become Quaking Aspen Lane.
- Tramway Drive and Quaking Aspen Lane is a one-way loop.
