Choice Viewing for ‘Transit of Venus’ at Royal Aloha Resorts in Hawaii

Royal Aloha members using their Hawaii timeshare next week will have the chance to experience a once in a lifetime spectacle – the sight of Venus making its way across the face of the sun.

On June 5 between 12:09 p.m. to 6:42 p.m. (Hawaii Time) Venus will appear as a small black dot gliding across the disk of the sun. Around the world Venus viewing festivities are being planned for this rare event, but members visiting Hawaii will have the best seat in the house. The celestial phenomenon, labeled the “transit of Venus”, will be fully visible from Waikiki Beach on Oahu to the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island to the Haleakala National Park on Maui.  Wherever you decide to watch, remember that staring directly at the sun will damage your eyes, so wear special protective glasses.

Channing Bridges hosts the Tuesday morning breakfast briefings and Thursday evening Pau Hana reception at our Vacation Club in Waikiki.
